Tomorrow’s Eid-ul-Fitr. Or choti Eid, as it is commonly known on the Street around these parts.
I went to NUST after like a month today and there was no one there. It was just like in COVID, except for a slight change. I roamed across the Scholar’s Avenue, over to the newly made United Nations building, behind which there was once a lot of action. Then Margalla, Eatalia or whatever the name of the cafe is now, sat on the same place I sat 4 years ago, in the crowd. It was exams and we were waiting for someone to finish and come out. Today, it was desolate. Then I went over to C1, petted some cats which would be hungry now that there’s no students for some days, and then came to S3H.
That is one hell of a place I tell you Tess. Each nook and cranny has a piece of story.
Onwards to C2 and then I went out of it all. Came to the cafe, did iftar, smoked, took one for home and I am not ashamed of this one, though it would have been better if I had something better to do. Read the book until the very last chapter and … came back home. Chand Rat.
Bye.
