So yeah … Last night I was stupid enough to like order a pizza for myself even though I have had dinner. Now 18 hours later, it’s still half left. I tried to share it with people passing by my room but … just one person took a slice. I had it ovened and all covered in sauces etc too. Whatever.
And today I attended a session, a meet-up arranged between senator Dr. Sania Nishtar and all scholarship awardees. It went well. The question I had in mind, which I wasn’t going to ask in such a large auditorium, was fortunately asked by a Navy professor on-line from Karachi. And well, I learnt that the media team of this government is poor. Phle parties used to give one laptop and take 10 pictures of it. These stupids are actually giving grants and doing welfare work on a massive scale in rural areas, lekin sath vale bnde ko b pta ni chlta. It’s like they are actually on a mission to get every family good, ‘secretly’. Paglo, you are doing a good thing, expose it. Logon ko btao, TV programs kro. I think because IK didn’t let the media become his “godi media” (search Modi’s godi media for reference), most media houses now turned against him (IK) even in his ruling tenure. But well, if PTI doesn’t make a certain level of noise and commotion, already plagued with how poorly they handled rape cases and TLP, them taking votes from intertiazed insensitive masses would be a miracle. His team is poor but farishte to ab vo lane SE rha.
And then I had this mid-term group presentation for online journalism. It went good Alhamdulillah. Actually, it went so good that I’m actually inspired to work harder for it for the finals. It is actually an effort to locate and review eateries of twin cities (that’s Islamabad and Rawalpindi) which a student can afford in his budget. Going by the name of “foodsurfers”, we are on Instagram, Twitter and a Google website. Within days, we are launching a YouTube channel. There are planned a massive food-war thingie between Islamabad and Rawalpindi food street. And we are … Okay, it’s a whole big thing focused primarily on telling people of twin cities (that is again Islamabad and Raja g’s Rawalpindi) that these are some quiet but quite awesome food places. This is their menu, this is their prices, this is what it looks like, so anytime you wanna go try a new place, just check food surfers and enjoy your food. I’m in charge of the website and well, I’m gonna make some changes with the leftover pizza slices.
And that’s about it. I just actually woke up from a relaxing but small slumber. Now I guess I should get to work. See you. TC
