Sometime in Fall 2021 (43)

I’m sitting on top floor of NUST library looking outside at the “Campus Breaths Again”, event conducted by NUST administration. A success.

Then there was heavy rain. I came while it was pouring. The pools of water on protocol avenue made me nostalgic. I was lost in the sands of dead times. Now however I know one thing for sure, that the concept of ‘soulmates’ is the most rarely occuring event and yet most commonly-assumed-to-have-occured concept in teenage and early-adult life. In real, soulmates never meet. They become. With years and years of living together, happily, a relationship called ‘soulmates’ is born between 2 people. It’s never like you “found” your soulmate. That’s a moo point 😅 (Reference: Joey Tribbiany from F.R.I.E.N.D.S).

I wanted Seekh Kabab but .. they weren’t available. I wanted BBQ, but that was gone too. So I bought 2 ‘Gulab Jamun’ for 120 each. Yes, that totals 240 for 2 separate singular kofta-color gulab jamun. For the same price in my village, I would have had more than 12. And don’t even start me on the quality there and here.

But whatever. I’m gonna go down and have some haleem for me. There are too many people here and I think my quota for today is done. I intentionally didn’t take headphones with me too. I’m so proud of me tonight.

Having haleem. Gonna go up, edit this and post. Have a nice weekend people.
