University internet was down recently. And I realized how much we are dependent on internet. All lectures for my studies are on MS Teams. I have to tweak my budget and YNAB is an online platform. I have to text some people and WhatsApp needs internet. It’s 1054am. Some guy had an online meet planned with me at 10am for his research paper (I am a human Guinea pig:) and well, Discord ALSO needs internet. So, all I can do is sift through books or write this! Life without internet huh. I wish I could live long enough to see this power outage once we are meta citizens using BTCs to buy coke.
Wait a minute. Now that I think of it, do you realize banks can become Crypto like Post Office became Gmail, we can inhabit space and sex can be digital using AI and Meta but … coke will be coke! There’s no replacement to food or soft drinks. Pay with an old, faded, dragged-in-mud note, or scan a code to transfer some virtual coins from yourself to the retailers account, you are getting the same Soft Drink or Burger or whatever in return. I don’t know where to categorize it yet, what kind of revolution it is, but it is fascinating! Can you comprehend it?
