I’m sitting on a bus taking us (Edit: this was written when I was involved in an unsuccessful relationship, therefore: us) to go get our vaccination certificates. A girl by my side gave me a pen to write my CNIC and number on this medical receipt. I have had written it from the hostel. Yet I couldn’t bring myself to say, “No ma’am, I don’t need it”.

Now I have that pen and I’m smiling as I write this line. That if I couldn’t say no to getting a pen, how in the hell am I supposed to say “Baji ye ap Apna pen vapis le len 😂🤦‍♂️” … do you ever get problems like these?
